It’s got to be a first-rate institution. “Compared with those who are not involved with such organizations, religiously active Americans are more trusting of others, are more optimistic about their impact on their community, think more highly of their community, are more involved in more organizations of all kinds, and devote more time to the groups to which they are active,” according to a recent survey by the Pew Research Center’s Internet & American Life Project, which “asked people about their membership in 28 different kinds of organizations and clubs. Religious and spiritual organizations topped the list, and those who were active in such groups were more active in all kinds of groups. The average number of groups that religiously active Americans are active in is 5.61, and those who are not involved with religious groups participate in 2.11 groups.

“Those who are active in religious groups spend an average of 7.5 hours per week in group activities, compared with 5.4 hours for those not active in a religious group.”

7 Sacraments are alive in the Catholic Church. Even if a Christian does not acknowledge the Sacraments, it doesn't invalidate the Sacraments they have already received. The Sacrament is valid even if the person doesn't believe in it or doesn't understand it. The Sacraments do not exist because we believe; they exist because of Truth. So having said that, MCCSG has many folks discerning the Sacraments - few are fully engaged in all the Sacraments yet they are seeking to understand the ones they already have received. We also have folks that are not baptized yet want to be engaged with people who are and exploring what the end result would be for them. (meaning what life looks like).

We do not proselytize, our programs are designed to meet people where they are at and engage in the common bond of Christian values and virtue. Following - many have taken steps to go further, others have continued living out their 2 Sacraments. Again we service fallen away Catholics but our goal is to bring them into the fullness of grace.

Canon Law on Lay Associations

Can. 298 §1. In the Church there are associations distinct from institutes of consecrated life and societies of apostolic life; in these associations the Christian faithful, whether clerics, lay persons, or clerics and lay persons together, strive in a common endeavor to foster a more perfect life, to promote public worship or Christian doctrine, or to exercise other works of the apostolate such as initiatives of evangelization, works of piety or charity, and those which animate the temporal order with a Christian spirit.

Sacraments

In every sacrament three things are necessary: the outward sign; the inward grace; Divine institution. A sign stands for and represents something else, either naturally, as smoke represents fire, or by the choice of an intelligent being, as the red cross indicates an ambulance. Sacraments do not naturally signify grace; they do so because they have been chosen by God to signify mysterious effects. Yet they are not altogether arbitrary, because in some cases, if not in all, the ceremonies performed have a quasi-natural connection with the effect to be produced. Thus, pouring water on the head of a child readily brings to mind the interior purification of the soul. In the writings of the Fathers of the Church the word was used to signify something sacred and mysterious, and where the Latins use sacramentum the Greeks use mysterion (mystery). The sacred and mysterious thing signified is Divine grace, which is the formal cause of our justification (see GRACE), but with it we must associate the Passion of Christ (efficient and meritorious cause) and the end (final cause) of our sanctification, viz., eternal life. The significance of the sacraments according to theologians (e.g. Summa Theologicæ III.60.3) and the Roman Catechism (II, n. 13) extends to these three sacred things, of which one is past, one present, and one future. The three are aptly expressed in St. Thomas's beautiful antiphon on the Eucharist: "O sacrum convivium, in quo Christus sumitur, recolitur memoria passionis ejus, mens impletur gratia, et futurae gloriae nobis pignus datur — O sacred banquet, in which Christ is received, the memory of the passion is recalled, the soul is filled with grace, and a pledge of future life is given to us". We are a Mission Center for those seeking to live a Sacramental Life by not breaking their seal of baptism, communion and confirmation.

We assist the Sacramental Vocation of Marriage and the desire to explore the religious life of Holy Orders.

We are a fun center driven by enrichment programs - many activities, sports, clubs, parties and gatherings.

We are a non-profit organization, managed by a Board of Directors and Officers faithful to the Magisterial teaching of the Catholic Church.

We are a charitable, educational, religious organization - home education enrichment program; classes and Team Leaders; Teachers. Our families enjoy clubs, workshops, crafts etc.

Prayer to St. John Bosco

O glorious Saint John Bosco, who in order to lead young people to the feet of the divine Master and to mould them in the light of faith and Christian morality didst heroically sacrifice thyself to the very end of thy life and didst set up a proper religious Institute destined to endure and to bring to the farthest boundaries of the earth thy glorious work, obtain also for us from Our Lord a holy love for young people who are exposed to so many seductions in order that we may generously spend ourselves in supporting them against the snares of the devil, in keeping them safe from the dangers of the world, and in guiding them, pure and holy, in the path that leads to God. Amen.

"People not words make converts". Our faith is more than a set of principles we agree to, but rather an entirely new way of life. People must see this, " new way" being lived and the joy it brings.

The Gospel spreads by personal contact and friendship. We cannot kneel before the world and soften the message of the cross and the call to holiness.

Pope Benedict said, "if I have no contact with God my life, then I can not see in others, anything more than the other, and I am incapable of seeing him in the image of God. If I fail to heed others, solely out of a desire to be "devout and perform my religious duties", then my relationship with God will grow arid. It becomes merely "proper",but loveless. Only one's readiness to encounter his neighbor and to show him love, makes us sensitive to God".

We need leaders with courage, not those who act like Privileged dignitaries or executives, but truly leaders and teachers as true apostles of Christ. This is how others know they have met a, "Catholic".
